Mylar bags have been used to preserve a variety of foods for years, and to increase that capacity, oxygen absorbers are also placed in the bag with the food to prevent the oxidation process from occurring, which is a major cause of food spoilage. However, one important step in the process is to seal your mylar bags.

You can seal your bags with this Impulse Heat Sealer by clamping the opening with the 12-inch heated stip. This causes the plastic to melt together, forming an airtight seal.

Sealed bags ensure longer-lasting protection for your storage.
